Kells: Hi, I am a 26yr old mother of two and I just recently left my kids father due to the intense arguing and I didn't want that negativity around my boys. After I left I took the rest of my income tax money to move me and my kids. I've always had s hard time with commitment and issues with trust coming froma broken home myself. I know this man loves me and I shouldn't have left so abruptly but I am having major issues getting past the traumatic fights so I can try to fix my family. Is it too late?

Douglas Foresta, LICSW (therapist): Welcome to talktala, Kells, and good for you for reaching out. It is certainly not too late. It sounds like you have some things from your past that are interfering with your present relationship, as well as of course the present issues in your relationship.
