PinkRose: Hi Rick, decided to stop by this forum. I was quite happy with my job abd all, and then about 3 weeks ago we were told about a new reorg, and I would be ok with it, but people around went crazy. Also I was expecting a raise right then, and instead I don't know when it's coming. And it's the 2nd time when it does not fall through. I was already stressed just prior to this, and now it like took ground from my feet. I just wanted to get it, and then go on vacation or something, but now I can't.

PinkRose: What sarcasm? I listed 2 good things (neighbors stopped their actions, and the married guy had revenge from his wife). Other than that, it was a boring weekend, and today at work we still don't have any news (since April 10!), it's just dragging. At least now I don't pay attention to my depressing boss, so I just socialize with positive people at work.

PinkRose: I usually compare myself with myself. I don't compare myself with others, because they have own lives. And about ice-cream, it was not a joke, I ate a lot and now feel almost sick because of it.

Rick Fulton LPC (therapist): No one said anything about ice cream but you may want to ask yourself why that happened. I agree that you have made adjustments in the work place. I believe the thing I am talking about is the spiritual concept of looking at the world differently. Perspective, gratitude, finding more positive things about life rather than negative things. What would happen if you were having another boring weekend but took responsibility to either accept that or creating your own happiness? A wise person once told me gratitude is an action word. I would still ask you to do the gratitude list.
